What is a Knight?

Knights are noble servants to and protectors of a king and his kingdom. Brave, loyal, and true to a cause, a knights principal duty is to fight and sometimes even lead an entire troop and cavalry. Traditional medieval knights acquired the insatiable honor of knighthood straight from the tip of the kings very sword.

Knighthood can be seen as a position of nobility which represents a non-hereditary form of gentility. In a way, it marks its own revolutionary social class, in which the brave and noble do-gooders of old society could work their way up in the ranks, by proving their worth by way of allegiance and steadfast service to the king.
